The win and title, not a bad weekend…
“After several top finishes, this title comes in my seventh year in the feeder series. It’s a mix of pride and relief, but it shows that the work done with everyone around me finally paid off. It is also a great to have done it with Renault Sport, because my first win in such a series was in a Twingo… And it was also on the Mont-Blanc !”

The battle was, once again, extremely intense with Boris…
“Boris is one of the most talented drivers I have ever come across. I was a little hesitant on the first loop, but made some se-up changes with my team Fredéric Anne Compétition, and Rtec Suspensions, to retake the lead during the evening. My times were pretty close to those of Manu and Cédric ! On Saturday, I was on stages I know very well and was able to pull away. Then, I spun in a fast corner and Boris went off the road. Despite a large lead, the points for the best performer were still up for grabs. I wasn’t expecting to clinch the title after Boris retired on the final stage, but it is a great satisfaction compared to the energy spent on this project !”

You have had Victor Bellotto sitting to your right this season…
“I had to stop reluctantly with Xavier Castex due to personal reasons to him. Straight away I thought of Victor as his replacement. We’ve had shared ambitions since our last collaboration in 2012. We know each other well and everything has always gone well between us. This title might create new bonds !”

What’s next ?
“The goal is to finish the season the way I always do in a promotion series. Despite feeling right at home in the Clio R3T Trophy France, I would like to do something new next year in order to improve. Either on the gravel or in international rallies like I was able to do this year !”
