Clio Rally3, Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5 are triumphing the world over ! Victories and podium finishes are coming thick and fast in every country, just as numerous competitions dedicated to Clio return to the special stages. Here’s a look at an intense and successful start to the month !

Clio Trophy Galicia by Rodosa

The Rally do Cocido opened season three of the Clio Trophy Galicia by Rodosa. Third last year, Iván and Diego Vázquez displayed their prowess in heavy rain to clinch their maiden victory with Clio Rally5. The La Coruña-based crew won by 31.1s over defending champion Álvaro Castro and co-driver Ricardo Rey. Completing the podium were Guillermo Martínez and Ignacio Sayans on their Clio Rally5 debut. The competitors will return to action at the Rally de Pontevedra (6-7 June).

Italian Gravel Rally Championship

The Campionato Italiano Assoluto Rally Junior launched its new campaign at the Rally Città di Foligno with a single-make field of ten Clio Rally5s prepared by Motorsport Italia. Leaders from start to finish, Geronimo Nerobutto and Matteo Zaramella won by 32.8s from Sebastian Dallapiccola and Fabio Andrian. Mattia Ricciu and Giovanni Maria Mazzone finished third, just 0.9s behind. The next event will be on tarmac at the Rally Regione Piemonte (11-13 April).

Finnish Rally Championship

On the snow-swept roads of the SM Savonlinna Rally, the venue for round three of the Finnish Rally Championship, Clio Rally4 won the SM3 class with Finland’s Jarkko Nikara and his Japanese co-driver Tomiya Maekawa. At the same time, Clio Rally3 entered the top ten overall and achieved a double podium in SM2 with Henri Altomaa - Jussi Kärpijoki and Takumi Matsushita - Pekka Kelander.

Portuguese Rally Championship

The Portuguese Rally Championship’s much-awaited return also occurred last weekend with the Rali Serras de Fafe. Clio Rally5 confirmed its good form on the region’s famous special stages with an RC5 one-two led by Pedro Gastão and Marco Macedo, who were also second among the Juniors.

German Rally Cup

Clio Rally3, Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5 all won on the tarmac of the ADAC Rallye 70 Kempenich, round one of the DMSB Rallye Cup and the Saarland Rally Championship. Seventh overall, Max Schumann and Ann Felke won in RC4, followed in their respective classes by Klaus Werner and Mika Jordan (RC3) and Tim Wacker and Luca Kiefer (RC5).

French Rally Cup

Last year’s overall winners of the Rallye de la Vienne, Matteo Chatillon and Maxence Cornuau were again in contention for victory in a Clio Rally3 in 2025. The duo eventually finished runners-up, just 6.2s behind the winner and ahead of all the Rally2s entered. Nicolas Cartier and Pierre Arnoux dominated their class on the same roads in a Clio Rally5.

Clio Rally3 achieved another overall podium with Fabrice Martin and Marlène Thiriot, third in the Rallye de Meuse. Clio Rally5 also triumphed there with Jérôme Janny and Helena Pecheur. The two models also won their classes in the Rallye du Pays Avallonnais with Loïc Thouret - Jacky Duchaine (Rally3) and Axel Delaporte - Clémence Marechal (Rally5).

Elsewhere in France, Claude and Patricia Benedetto, along with Sylvain Rouquette and Marjorie Mercier, secured a double victory in Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5 at the Rallye de Vaison-la-Romaine, as did Thomas Vergines and Joris Sinet and Éric Sauteur and Cindy Millac at the Rallye de Bonaguil. Lastly, Clio Rally5 won with Julien Pintus and Timothée Alquier at the Rallye de l’Hérault Grand Orb, Tom and Frédéric Vauclare at the Rallye Baldomérien and Charlotte Olea and Cécile Pages at the Rallye des Côtes du Tarn.

And elsewhere

Clio Rally3 was also victorious in Italy, with David Bizzozero and Stefano Cossi at the Rally dei Laghi and Leonardo Scalco and Debora Fancoli at the Rally del Bardolino. In the same rallies, Clio Rally5 also won with Loris Buttiglione and Debora Fancoli, and Michele Falezza and Giulia Tomasi, while Salvatore Sollano and Salvatore Licata rounded off this prolific start to the month by dominating their class at the Rally Monti Sicani.

Clio Rally4 was not to be outdone with a class victory and second place overall for Leandro Brustolin and Andrey Karpinski on the gravel stages of the Rally Cidade de Nova Prata (Brazil). In Spain, Clio Rally5 won overall with Nicolás Cabanes and Javi Moltó at the Rallysprint Llucena and its class with Francisco Puertas and Diego Corta at the Rally Valle del Almanzora. Lastly, Henrique Azenha and Hugo Marques won in P2-4 at the Rally da Bairrada (Portugal), and Oliver Sørensen and Frederik Bülow won in RC5 at the ADAC Rallye Südholstein (Germany).
