Clio Rally3, Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5 continue to confirm their competitiveness and impress with a new victory in the Middle East Championship, a promising debut in the United States and new successes on all surfaces across Europe !
Middle East Rally Championship
Two weeks after its victory in the Rally of Oman, Clio Rally5 achieved another success in the Middle East Rally Championship with Shadi El Fakih and Joseph Kmeid. The Lebanese crew was on top form at the Qatar International Rally to win the RC5 class and finish fifth in MERC4, where they only lost out to cars in the higher categories. The duo will target a hat-trick at the next round, the Saudi International Rally (2-3 May 2025).
ARA National Championship
Clio Rally3 made a brilliant debut in the United States at the Sno*Drift Rally, the season opener in the ARA National Championship. For their first competitive outing with their new machine, Sean Donnelly and Zach Pfeil steadily gained momentum to finish in the top five overall while also coming second in L4WD and LN4. On the strength of this promising first foray, the duo will look to build on their progress at the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood (14-15 March).
And elsewhere
Clio Rally3 won in RC3 at the Winter Rally Covasna (Romania) thanks to the Bulgarian duo of Aleksandar Tomov and Dimitar Spasov, who won with a margin of nearly 13 minutes. Meanwhile, Clio Rally4 excelled on Portuguese asphalt, with João Rodrigues and Bruno Carvalho finishing runner-up in X5-16 and fourth overall at the Rally das Camélias. Lastly, Clio Rally5 won its class with Alessandro Rozio and Stefano Pistoresi at the Ronde della Val Merula (Italy) and with Rafael Binimelis and Juan Martí-Albo, who came fourth in the Rallysprint Sant Salvador (Spain).
Coming up
Matteo Chatillon and Maxence Cornuau will continue their world championship campaign with Clio Rally3 this week. Caught out by the conditions at the Monte Carlo Rally, the ARL Sport crew will try to bounce back at Rally Sweden (13-16 February). At the same time, the 2024-2025 Clio Cup Middle East will conclude its season. While Harry Hannam has already secured the title, several top places will be at stake at the Yas Marina Circuit (14-15 February).
