Clio Rally3, Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5 were victorious in several national championship finales over the weekend, including a double overall podium finish on the Uruguayan gravel and Styve Juif’s title in the Trophée Michelin Amateurs France.

French Rally Championship

Clio scored two wins in the final round of the 2023 FFSA French Rally Championship season. On the Rallye du Var, Clio Rally4 won the Women’s category in the hands of Allison Viano and Léa Sam-Caw-Freve, by more than two minutes ahead of the new title holders and their Rally3. Meanwhile, Styve Juif and Maxime Biegalke scored a clean sheet of stage wins in RC5 to lead a lockout of the top eight for Clio Rally5 and secure the Michelin Amateur Trophy title. The GMC Compétition duo will be offered the wheel of a Rally2 in one of the rounds on the 2024 calendar.

Belgian Rally Championship

Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 won in the Ardenne on the Spa Rally, the Belgian Rally Championship season finale. Pierre Hubin and Andy Mawet won the RC3 class in dominating fashion while Xavier Dekeyser and Nele Tassaert made it four wins for Clio Rally5 in RC5. Also competing in Clio Rally5, Lyssia Baudet and Loïc Dumont finished third in the Junior BRC class. The event rounded off a successful season for Clio in Belgium, where Benoit Verlinde (RC3), Jonas Dewilde (RC4 and Junior BRC) and Lander Depotter (RC5) all led their cars to the top of their respective categories.

Uruguayan Rally Championship

Clio Rally5 scored a resounding result on the gravel of Rally de Mariscala, the seventh and final round of the Uruguayan Rally Championship. The Brazilian duo of Luis Eduardo Stedile and Carlos Enrique Morales led a sweep of the top three in the RC4N category while also finishing second overall, just ahead of the other Clio Rally5s driven by the Uruguayan duo of Rodrigo Fialho - Rodrigo Arbiza and Alfonso López - Sebastián González.

Clio Rally5 scored a superb success on the Roger Albert Clark Rally, where Grégory Perrard and César Delbecque won the J5 category by more than seven minutes at the end of a five-day event covering 560 timed kilometres through the forests of Wales, England and Scotland. Meanwhile, in Italy, Clio Rally5 was won by Marco Zanin and Nicolò Lazzarini on Rally Città di Scandicci and by Antonio and Daniel Passaseo on the Event Show Pista Salentina. Lastly, Clio Rally5 won in Croatia with Mitja Velkavrh and Nina Velkavrh Gorenc victorious in their class and fifth in the Junior category at the Rally Show Santa Domenica.

Coming up

This week, Clio Cup Middle East kicks off its second season with a day of official testing at the Dubai Autodrome on 1 Friday, December. The action then shifts to the stages of ACI Rally Monza, which will host the finals of Clio Trophy Italia and the Italian Junior Rally Championship, with their fields consisting entirely of Clio Rally5s from 1 to 3 December.
