The Formula Renault 3.5 Series Champion at the wheel of the RB10 at Abu Dhabi

In the aftermath of the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix, two days of testing will take place on 25 and 26 November. Formula Renault 3.5 Series Champion, Carlos Sainz, will demonstrate his talents at the wheel of a contemporary F1 car as a reward for his title winning season.

Invited by Renault Sport Technologies and the Infiniti Red Bull Racing F1 Team, 20-year old Carlos Sainz, the youngest title winner in the history of the premier category of the World Series by Renault will be at the commands of the RB10 on Tuesday 25 November.

Like all previous Formula Renault 3.5 Series champions, the Spaniard enjoys the trust given to hopefuls by the French carmaker, whose ladder towards F1 is firmly established in the landscape of world motorsport.

The Formula Renault 3.5 Series single-season wins recordman will thus have a new opportunity to prove his talent to the F1 community. After his demonstration in the Infiniti Red Bull Racing Renault RB8 at the Nürburgring, as reward for leading the series at the mid-way point of the season, he will now drive the RB10 at Abu Dhabi.

This is the same car in which Daniel Ricciardo, who also competed in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series before his arrival in F1, scored three victories this season. The Australian will take over from the Spaniard on Wednesday.
