Discover the New Mégane’s GT and GT-Line range of engines
A specialist engine manufacturer and a Formula One turbo and downsizing pioneer, Renault is now making engines with a reduced cubic capacity, some of which are equipped with Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) automatic transmission, recognised for its contribution to everyday driving pleasure. Boasting latest-generation technologies such as direct petrol injection and steel pistons, the engines fitted in the New Mégane deliver both enjoyment and efficiency.
Petrol engines, delivering up to 205bhp :
- Fitted in the New Mégane GT-Line :
The Energy TCe 100, six-speed manual transmission : 100bhp and 175Nm of torque available at 1,500rpm,
120g CO2/km and 5.4 litres/100km , available from launch.
The Energy TCe 130, six-speed manual transmission : 130bhp and 205Nm of torque at 2,000rpm.
Available from launch, this 1.2L turbo petrol engine offers the performance of a two-litre naturally aspirated engine. Thanks to its direct-injection technology and integrated turbo manifold, it is smooth and responsive. Direct injection enhances fuel combustion, cutting both consumption (5.3 litres/100km) and CO2 emissions (119g/km)1.
From the first half of 2016 the Energy TCe 130 will also come with an automatic EDC seven-speed transmission. Delivering 130bhp and 205Nm of torque at 2,000rpm, this version offers consumption and CO2 emission levels equivalent to a manual transmission (119g/km and 5.1 litres/100km)1, while delivering the comfort and responsiveness of an EDC transmission.
In response to demand in some countries, a naturally aspirated SCe 115 petrol engine with five-speed manual transmission will also be available in the first half of 2016 : 156Nm of torque at 4,000rpm, 141g CO2/km and 6.1 litres/100km1. Available in Europe from the second half of 2016, the engine features a continuously variable transmission (CVT) offering 156Nm of torque at 4,000rpm, CO2 emissions of 149g/km and consumption of 6.4 litres/100km1.

The Energy TCe 205 EDC seven-speed transmission : 205bhp and 280Nm of torque at 2,000rpm.
Available from launch and developed for the New Mégane GT by Renault Sport, this 1.6L turbo petrol engine delivers brisk acceleration and pick-up, offering driving pleasure and performance while also keeping CO2 emissions (134g/km) and consumption (6 litres/100km)1 low.
Diesel engines, delivering up to 165bhp :

The Energy dCi 90, with six-speed manual transmission : 220Nm of torque available at 1,750rpm.
95g CO2/km ; 3.6 litres/100km1, available from launch.
Available from launch, the Energy dCi 110 engine, which comes complete with a manual six-speed transmission, delivers 260Nm torque at 1,750rpm, while keeping CO² emissions down to 95g/km and consumption to 3.7 litres/100km1.
The Energy dCi 110 is also available with an automatic EDC six-speed transmission, developing 250Nm of torque at 1,750rpm and registering CO² emissions of 95g/km and consumption of 3.7 litres/100km1.
Available from launch, the Energy dCi 130 engine packs a lot of technology into a small space. A reflection of Renault’s continuing downsizing policy, this 16-valve, 1,598cc diesel engine generates 130bhp and is hooked up to a six-speed manual transmission. The result of a design process that put the accent on efficiency, the Energy dCi 130 is based on architecture deriving from Renault’s F1 expertise. Delivering no less than 320Nm of torque at 1,750rpm and fuel consumption of 4 litres/100km and CO2 emissions of 103g/km , this is a diesel engine that is responsive and efficient when it comes to acceleration, guaranteeing plenty in the way of driving pleasure.
